• This series takes you to the town of Brokken,, Texas after the Civil War. I started with the Prequel of Brokken Roads and have read each book as soon as it is released. This one takes you into Sheriff Vic’s life, I have to say I’m partial to her, as she works through the return of the husband she thought was dead. Lynda does a fantastic job leading you through Vic’s struggles with the past and learning that she can love again. Be prepared for some late nights, it’s hard to put down.
• I love this book. Lots of twists to keep you on the edge of your seat.
• Victoria English’s marriage to Jonathan English wasn’t what everyone in Brokken thought it was. No one knew what she went through behind closed doors, not even her best friend Abby. So when Jonathan didn’t return from the war, Victoria wasn’t too unhappy about it, just scarred and broken.
  
  So when the Doctor brings an injured man into town that looks just like her husband, Victoria is scared to death that he has returned. Yet there is something different about him. Can a war and all the years he has been missing have changed him? Victoria isn’t sure.
  
  When Jon awakens and finds out Victoria thinks he is her husband, how is he to convince her he isn’t. Especially when he finds out how horrible he treated her. He has to prove to Victoria that he isn’t who she thinks he is, but in doing so, he could die.
  
  This was a wonderful story about two souls who are broken and are trying to make things right as they fall in love with each other. But extenuating circumstances put them both in danger. Can they face down their enemies and demons and make a life for themselves, or will fate offer them another road to take.
  
  I highly recommend this story to others. Even though it’s part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
• I've been wondering how the series would deal with the independent, fiery Sheriff Victoria. From the beginning, I was sure her abusive husband would eventually come back and make her face her fears.
  
  Lynda Cox delivered a riveting story of survival and love with Brokken Yesterdays. A hero who is trying to escape a past that he was wrongfully accused of and a heroine who is reluctant to take another chance on love.
• This is the eighth book in this series about the town of Brokken and the people that are in this family
• Loved Victoria's story. Touching on domestic violence, the struggle to recover self worth and still being able to open her heart again. This story reminded me of the movie Sommersby, but a MUCH more satisfying ending.
• Brokken Yesterdays is an exciting addition to the Brokken Road series. Lynda Cox had done it again. The characters and story will suck you in and refuses to let go until you finish. I highly recommend you start with Brokken Road and read the other books in the series before you start Brokken Yesterdays if you have not read them already.
• Another great story from Mrs. Lynda J cox. Victoria has to let the past go and put old fears to rest but not before her world goes to help in a hand basket! I loved this book!
