Accompanied by an entourage of demon guards, Princess Syalis takes a field trip to the human world to acquire a special pillow. Then she receives several invitations from her demon captors First, to replace the cooks who have succumbed to heat exhaustion in the Demon Castle kitchen (somebody needs to make Quilladillo’s Monster Bird Egg Custard). Second, to attend a pajama party (despite being woefully ignorant of the concept). And third, to design a new area for the hero to explore (which turns out to be the exact opposite of what the demons had in mind).

"Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle remains a good, funny series, although I am giving this volume 4.5 stars as its Halloween story falls a bit flat. However, for the most part, it brings its typical fun with Princess Syalis either outwitting her demon captors (honestly, when is someone going to give them a copy of Kidnapping for Dummies?) or she or the demons having major misunderstandings. The latter comes into play when the princess doesn't get the concept of a pajama party and thinks she needs a dry run with the Demon King. And then, there is the party itself. Syalis learns of a magnificent pillow, available only in the human realm, so that means a discomforting trip for the demon leadership. A succubus named Bussy thinks the princess can help her become popular. The trouble is that Princess Syalis thinks the demons want Bussy to serve as her body double, so she'd better put Bussy through some tough training. I can't help but think Princess Syalis is having the time of her life in the demon realm and if she ever gets out, she's going to miss it. Even if this volume wasn't the best, the series can be easily recommended to readers who love comic fantasy."
